Famous as a singer, songwriter and producer, he is just as convincing in his extraordinary photographic work as in his music.
Since he first appeared with Saatchi in London in 2009, Bryan Adams’ outstanding photographic art has been fascinating the international art world for the last 10 years.
He has been honoured with prestigious awards, having amongst other things been awarded the Lead Award on two occasions.
He is the publisher of the Zoo magazine, which he co-founded in Berlin in 2003 and for which he regularly takes photographs.
A notable series of book documentations emphasise his photographic work: “Exposed” in 2012, “Wounded” – The Legacy of War in 2013, “Untitled” in 2015 and “Homeless“ in 2019 (all published by Steidl Verlag).
His photographic works have appeared in numerous publications, including the British Vogue, L’Uomo Vogue, American Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, British GQ, Esquire, Interview and i-D. He has taken photographs for several advertising campaigns, including Hugo Boss, Guess Jeans, Sand, Converse, Montblanc, John Redmond, Fred Perry, Escada as well as for Jaguar, Opel and Windsor.
In 2015, Bryan Adams, who was born in Ontario in Canada in 1959, was admitted to the Royal Photographic Society in London.
His photographs are to be found in international collections, museums and galleries throughout the world, for example in the Royal Ontario Museum in Canada, Museum Fotografiska in Stockholm, the Multi Media Art Museum in Moscow, Musée National de Beaux Arts du Quebec and Museum Fotografiska in Tallinn.
